Gold mainly. Tennant Creek is Australia's last gold rush town. Of course now, there are a lot other minerals mined in the area.
What a great picture and how wonderful to experience this mine. How far underground does it go?
Well, I didn't know that!
This section goes straight through the hill. I think it's about 20 meters or so underground. The mine goes further down from here.
Very interesting,we must have missed it when we were there.
Definately a must see - next time we visit!
